Joshua Vineyard

Owner and CEO

Josh Vineyard is an experience educator and leader with over 22 years of administration and programmatic experience from private to public academic settings. He has degrees from the University of Utah in Special Education and Psychology, as well as his minor in Linguistics.  Josh has extensive training in Special Education for Mild/Moderate disabilities and is an avid advocate for children with disabilities.  He is currently the CEO of  Teacher Development Services and Lumos Enterprises a Youth Counseling program providing IOP and Day Treatment programing for youth struggling with autism. emotional disabilities, and family dynamic issues.

Angie Alvey MEd

Owner and Program Director

Angie's 27 years in education include 12 in a public school setting and 15 at a residential treatment center.  After gaining valuable classroom experience teaching English for 9 years, she spent 2 years as a school counselor and the next 16 years as an administrator.  Angie has a Masters degree in School Counseling and is endorsed in Language Arts, Physical Education, Special Education K-12 Mild/Moderate Disabilities, and in Educational Administration. Angie recently accepted the lead role as Vice President for Alpine Academy.

Laurie Laird-Trandum MEd

Owner and Program Director

Laurie has been in education for over 30 years.  After graduating from Brigham Young University in Family and Consumer Science, Laurie taught in junior high and high school for 16 years.  During that time, she earned endorsements in Math and Biology.  After completion of a Master’s degree in Educational Counseling, Laurie worked in a junior high school as a school counselor.  Having been drawn to at-risk students that needed a higher level of care and support, Laurie began her next career as Academic Director in a residential treatment program.  For the past 21 years, Laurie has served as Academic Director in a variety of programs and during that time, Laurie has earned a certification in special education (mild and moderate) along with a certification in school administration from Southern Utah University.  Laurie also had the opportunity to be a faculty member in the education and math departments at the University of Phoenix for six years, teaching newly emerging educators and experienced educators in acquiring a graduate degree.  Laurie is highly invested in helping students find academic success along with helping teachers develop the skills to be highly effective educators.

Joni Reynolds, MEd

Owner and Program Director

Joni has worked as an educator in residential treatment for 28 years.  She has served as a Special Education teacher for 20 years and has been an school administrator for the last 8 years. Joni is currently an Academic Director and Principal for Elevate Academy, a Heritage Community School.

 

Joni is passionate about education and serving youth who may have been forgotten about or have given up on believing in themselves and their worth.  

 

Joni's expertise is in Special Education and Secondary Education Administration. 

 

When Joni is not working with youth she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, biking, reading.

Angela Johnson

Owner and Program Director

Angela Johnson graduated from Southern Utah University with a Bachelors in Special Education and Physical Education. Angela has been working as a teacher since March 2013 and has a passion for working with students that struggle with executive functioning skills and confidence in school. She teaches Executive Functioning and Study Strategies.  She also has a degree in Physical Education and oversees the Physical Education program at her school.

 

Angela specializes in teaching executive functioning skills and specializes in working one on one  with her special education students so they can gain some motivation and confidence around school.  Angela loves to motivate and push her students to reach their full potential and to be better individuals in school and in their lives.  She is currently the Academic Director and Special Education Director of Solstice RTC.

Jamie Murphy

Owner and Program Director

Jamie is originally from north Georgia, but has spent most of her life in Utah. She graduated from Southern Utah University with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. After tutoring and substitute teaching at an RTC, she decided to obtain her secondary teaching license. Jamie has been teaching at RTC’s for 10+ years and loves the treatment setting. Working at an RTC allows her to do more than just stand in front of a class and teach science. She loves being involved in the whole treatment of the students and getting to know each one of them. Jamie loves spending time with her husband and three kids, ages 6, 12 and 16. Her hobbies include crochet, hanging out with her farm animals, and watching as much Atlanta Braves baseball as she can.  She is currently serving as an Academic Director for Soltice RTC.
